Hohmann & Barnard's 280-BL Dub'l Loop-Lok™; Reinforcement combines the features of 280 Dub'l Loop-Lok™ reinforcement with the benefits of the Byna-Lok™ Wire Tie
The 280 Dub'l Loop-Lok™system offers all of the following features:
- Allows in-plane vertical and horizontal movement of masonry wythes while restraining tension and compression.
- Loops welded shut to maintain allowable tolerance and system integrity.
- Unlike horizontal eyelets, vertical loops will not clog with mortar as construction progresses.
- Loops extend one direction only to allow simple placement of insulation.
- 100% protection against separation of Wire Tie from reinforcement.
- Also available with the Seismiclip® Interlock System (280 S.I.S.), suitable for seismic zones.
- Fabricated in conformance with ASCE/ACI 530 building code requirements for masonry structures and ASTM A 951 (standard specification for masonry joint reinforcement).
- Optional Feature! Special loop with 2 ¼" vertical adjustability. Ideal for Econo or Utility Bricks. (Request when ordering.)
Byna-Lok features:
- Swage & mild pitch on legs of the Byna-Lok Wire Tie provide an integral track for the continuous joint reinforcing wire.
Suitable for standard 3/8" mortar joint.
- More surface engagement of the continuous wire and the integral track than any other system on the market.
Reduces potential for incorrect placement or disengagement of the continuous wire due to workmanship error.
- Hassle-free installation of continuous wire into the Byna-Lok Wire Tie.
- Economical. Add continuous wire to masonry walls at little additional cost.
- Suitable for use with a variety of H&B anchors (see below).
- Available 3/16" dia. X 3", 4" or 5" long, Hot Dip Galvanized or Type 304 Stainless Steel.
