The 345-BT with S.I.S., for tying masonry to concrete or CMU backup with a flexible (not rigid) connection, is comprised of a Vee Byna- Tie® triangle with wrap-around metal strap.

  • 345-BT w/S.I.S. is fitted with a Vee Byna-Tie® in conjunction with the Seismiclip® Interlock System (S.I.S.).
  • Horizontal joint reinforcing wire and Vee Byna-Tie® are snapped into the Seismiclip and covered with mortar. This allows wire, tie and anchor to function as a single unit attached to the backup.
  • Continuous wire is beneficial for seismic zones or to provide additional protection against problems arising from thermal expansion and contraction. The continuous wire also allows for a more uniform distribution of lateral forces.

GAUGES:

  • Standard
    • Sheet steel is 3/4” wide x 12 ga. thick with 5/16” hole
    • Vee Byna-Tie® portion is 3/16” diameter x 3”, 3-1/2”, 4”, 4-1/2”, 5”, 6” or 7” long
  • Other sizes available upon request.
